ENTRIES OPEN FOR THE LONDON TO BRIGHTON CLASSIC, SPORTS AND KIT CAR RUN 2019

November 8, 2018

Entries are now open for the popular London to Brighton Classic Car Run and Kit & Sports Car Run, which will both take place on Sunday 2nd June from the start line in the stunning Greenwich Park, with around 400 vehicles expected to take part.

Organiser Stephen Smith from GE Classic Motor Events said: “Each year, we welcome more and more enthusiasts on both the Classic and Kit & Sports Car Runs. Not only is it great to see all these cars on the road, but the comradery between crews is absolutely joyous to see with friendships formed along the route.”

Sponsored by ClassicLine Insurance, the Classic Car Run is open to vehicles that were produced pre-1994, while the Kit & Sports Car Run is available to kit, replica, and modern sports cars owners, to allow motoring enthusiasts to get involved and showcase a diverse range of vehicles.

Some early bird enthusiasts have already entered including Patrick Carr from Sevenoaks who will enjoy his third year on the event in his 1928 Ford Model A, hoping to be awarded the oldest vehicle on the run award - he was third oldest on his first event in 2017 then second oldest in 2018.

Whereas Nigel Fisher from Broxbourne has entered for his 30th year and is bringing his 1976 Rolls Royce Shadow 1 which has undergone a two-year full restoration.

Toby Gallagher from Broadstairs is one of the first to secure his place on the 19th London to Brighton Kit & Sports Car run in his 2004 Lotus Elise.

The entry fee in all classes of entry is £99.00 per crew of driver and navigator, with all run participants receiving a commemorative numbered rally board and sold brass rally plaque, a Tulip style route book, and a personalised certificate of entry.

After starting from the stunning Greenwich Park, one of the finest Royal Parks and the home of the Meridian Line, the 2019 classic route will continue towards Chiddingstone Castle, while the Kit & Sports Car Run heads for the gardens at Penshurst Place.

Both runs then journey to the finish line at Madeira Drive next to the pier, which is also the location for the conclusion of the Veteran Car Run.

Entries are allocated on a first come/first served basis with a closing date of 3rd May 2019. To enter, visit www.classicmotorevents.co.uk or Tel: 07484 151 519.
